Some of my favorite shots of the residents of the Corpus Christi area of the Coastal Bend
This shot took weeks of work to accomplish, which makes the payoff of a good photo even more rewarding. Green kingfishers are fast, skittish, and small, making photographing them very difficult. Over two weeks, I visited the same pond every other day so the resident mated pair would get used to me and let me get closer and closer until I finally had a chance for a beautiful shot with really need framing and background
